The Owners of three contiguous parcels desired to transform their (3) rental home properties into a destination resort that could simultaneously accommodate weddings, executive retreats & conferencing, family vacations, public dining, and physical wellness.

1. What should be done with the existing buildings?
2. How should the new and existing buildings interact with the site?
3. How can the site design make a coherent statement that brings facilities into cohesive whole?

The solution defers to what is special about the location (Lake) and makes its strengths (water, forest, height, views) part of an integrated experience depending upon the activity (i.e. “Sleep in Forest”, “Dine at lakeside”, “bathe in water”). The site is segmented by program and seeks to improve the human experience relative to the immediate environment
