The Owners of this hillside house desired a dwelling for entertaining that took advantage of the distant spectacular views but minimized the “zero lot” feel of nearby homes. To achieve this, the house design revolves around the concept of “near” and “far”.

Those things that are “near” (neighborhood) are removed through windows size and placement. Those things that are “far” (water, mountains, range) are featured by two large apertures of the house and material selection.
